BCCI Invites Bids for IPL Title Sponsorship Rights 2024-2028

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has made a significant announcement, releasing the Invitation to Tender (ITT) for the Title Sponsor Rights for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) Seasons spanning from 2024 to 2028.

Under the stewardship of the BCCI, the IPL Governing Council is inviting reputed entities to bid for the coveted Title Sponsor Rights. The detailed terms and conditions governing this tender process, which include eligibility requirements, bid submission procedures, and associated rights and obligations, are meticulously outlined in the ITT document.

To participate in this opportunity, interested entities are required to acquire the ITT document, available upon payment of a non-refundable fee of INR 5,00,000 (Indian Rupees Five Lakh Only), along with any applicable Goods and Services Tax. The ITT documents will be available for purchase until January 8, 2024.

For prospective bidders, the procedure to obtain the ITT documents is clearly outlined in Annexure A to the official notice. Interested parties are urged to promptly email payment details for the ITT purchase to ipltitlesponsor2023.itt@bcci.tv, following the specified protocol in Annexure A.

It is crucial to note that the sharing of ITT documents is contingent upon the confirmation of payment of the non-refundable ITT fee. Purchasing the ITT, however, does not automatically grant bidding privileges; eligibility is subject to meeting the criteria delineated in the ITT and compliance with the stipulated terms and conditions.

Interested parties should carefully review Annexure B, which delineates specific brand categories in which bidding is restricted. Moreover, the highest bid submitted by interested parties will be subject to Tata Sons Private Limited’s exercise of its ‘Right to Match’ (RTM), as detailed in Annexure C.

The BCCI retains the prerogative to cancel or modify the bidding process at any stage and in any manner, without providing explicit reasons for such decisions.
