IPL Trade Alert: Left-arm spinner Shahbaz Ahmed has completed a trade from Royal Challengers Bangalore to Sunrisers Hyderabad, while Mayank Dagar from Sunrisers Hyderabad will now represent the Bengaluru franchise in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL). Shahbaz, who has been part of RCB since his IPL debut in 2020, has contributed 321 runs and secured 14 wickets in 39 matches for the franchise.
In an official IPL statement on Sunday, it was confirmed that Shahbaz has been traded to SRH at his existing fee. The statement noted, “Shahbaz has participated in 39 IPL matches, claiming 14 IPL wickets with best bowling figures of 3/7. After representing RCB since 2020, he has now been traded to SRH for his existing fee.”
Shahbaz was acquired by the Bengaluru franchise at last year’s mega auction for Rs. 2.4 crore, following a competitive bidding process involving Kolkata Knight Riders.
Simultaneously, Mayank Dagar, a right-handed all-rounder, is set to join RCB from SRH for his existing fee. Dagar, who has also played for Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings), featured in three games during the 2023 IPL season, where he took one wicket.
